March 2012 Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul

I know that I usually go a little crazy when Ulta has their 21 days of beauty. This time around, I just didn't see anything that I really wanted except for the Stila Smudge Stick liners & I already have the 3 colors that I like from them. There wasn't much of anything that caught my attention or I thought that I really needed. So I didn't even get anything from that.
I did however pic up a bunch of random things here & there. Plus, I had a few things leftover to review from the Wet N Wild sale last month.
I ended up finding 2 new favorites + a few amazing things I really love this month!

Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner- Target $5 each
(I got the daily treatment conditioner for free)
I instantly noticed a difference in my hair when I used this, & I mean instantly! The second I put the shampoo on my hair, I could tell that it was different from anything else I had ever used. It was thick & creamy & glided through my hair like butter! When I was rinsing it out, my fingers just glided through my hair like it was silk & I had never touched it with bleach or heat. The conditioner seemed slightly thicker then normal but, nothing to be in awe of. (I am sure that the conditioner did contribute to the end result) After I blow dried my hair, I instantly noticed that my split ends were less noticeable, I had fewer flyaways, & my hair felt so much softer! All of this was after just after 1 use! My hair felt thicker but, not weighed down too. Now, I haven't noticed as much of an impact since my first use but, I can say that this is one of the few shampoos I have ever been impressed with. Funny how I found this just days after filming my hair video & telling you that I've never found a daily shampoo I loved.

March 2012 (HUGE) Random Purchases

This month I shopped a ton! I don't know what came over me.
So this is going to be an extra long, picture heavy post.
I have felt like I was in a rut for a while now & have been wearing pretty much the same few outfits for a couple of months. I think that a big part of that was that I haven't been going out as much as I normally do. So I haven't been getting dressed up & have been in casual wear most of the time lately. I have just felt like I need to start mixing things up again & get out of wearing a plain t-shirt, jeans, & my chucks everyday. I just need to try something new & start being more adventurous in my daily wear again instead of just my club clothes.
So, I picked up a lot of stuff that I've never really worn before but have been seeing on other people & loving. I have already been feeling better & not so slumpy (I think I just made up that word).
I have also been getting back into nautical & retro pin-up type stuff this past month. Last spring I was obsessed with nautical stuff & I have gone in & out of pin-up phases since I was a teen.
I just feel like shopping this month has brought me back to my adventurous fashion sense that I used to have (ie- a different style everyday).

The second I saw this at Target I had to have it! I can't help but giggle & smile every time I use it. It adds a bit of cute whimsy to my morning coffee routine & it puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day. It's silly & makes me happy, & I suggest everyone run out & get one right now!

February 2012 Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul

(this month is a picture heavy post!)
My beauty purchases were all of the place this month. I just kind of picked up cool stuff as I saw it. I got to try out a few things that I have been interested in for a long time too. I went kind of nuts on the nail polishes this month. I bought a ton of new Sinful Colors but, just kind of gave a brief overview & a few details on some special ones, since most of you already know how much I love those polishes. There were a few Loves this month but honestly, mostly misses; especially when it came to nail polishes (other then my Sinful Colors).
On A Side Note:
I have noticed that the price of drugstore makeup & polishes have seriously gone up in price recently & it's really bothering me. It's getting to the point that you might as well just go for the high-end brands because there simply isn't enough of a price difference. I don't see where many of these brands feel that their products are good enough quality or unique enough to be charging these prices. It is getting to the point that I don't really feel like buying most drugstore brands is worth it. I will probably be sticking to my cheaper drugstore brands (mostly Sinful Colors, Essence & Wet N Wild) & just start investing the little bit more in higher end products for the most part.
(this is something that I know I complain about multiple times in this post & that's part of the reason that I wanted to talk about this, plus I just think it's ridiculous)

A random thing that I wanted to talk about is my re-found love for foundation sponges.
I pretty much stopped using foundation sponges ever since I got my Sephora Natural Foundation Brush (& many more since then). I love my brushes & never really thought about my sponges at all. Earlier this month all of my brushes were dirty so, instead of washing a brush, I was lazy & grabbed a sponge. Right away I wondered why I ever stopped using them & have been using a sponge pretty much every day since. I get beautiful coverage without it looking like I am wearing a ton of makeup (normally a big problem around my nose & mouth where I have a lot of redness). The makeup blends into my skin so much nicer & really stuck to places I normally have issues with (once again, around my nose. where makeup just likes to just wipe away). Plus the finish is so much nicer when I apply it this way. I have also found that my foundation seems to last longer before it gets super oily & looks like a mess. Despite the fact that I love my brushes, I think that I'm a reverse convert (not really sure what that means). Sometimes we get stuck in these loops of thinking the newer way must be better, when the good old fashioned way of doing things has been around so long for a reason.

February 2012 Random Purchases

I didn't do a whole lot of shopping this month due to saving up for a big purchase (listed last).
I did manage to pick up a few bits & pieces along the way & a late Christmas present finally came in.

January 2012 Random Purchases

I decided to make my random purchases posts kind of a monthly thing (it will depend on if I have enough each month). I really didn't do any specific shopping this month or look for anything in particular. I just kind of found a few random things that I really liked & picked up a couple of non-exciting things that I needed.
Although, the saddest thing did happen this month. My Sanrio store closed. (pouty sad face) It put me the worst funk. That store was my go to place when I was having a bad day or needed a little pick me up. Whenever I wanted something cute & girly I went there. The saddest part is that I didn't find out until the day it was closing, so pretty much everything was already gone & I didn't even get something pretty as a farewell. I just feel like a piece of my life is missing now. Totally over exaggerated & silly but, I really loved that store. Now I have to rely on the random Hello Kitty stuff at various stores to get my cute fix.

Ok, enough whining, let's get on to the random stuff I bought this month.

January 2012 Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul

It's time for my very first written monthly review! I like that I was able to get much more detailed about things without having to worry about the video being too long. I also liked that I could kind of write reviews as I used the products & didn't have to worry about forgetting something a few weeks later. Comment down below & let me know if you like this better or would like me to bring back the videos.
I did a decent amount of makeup shopping this month & am really excited for all the new stuff coming out. New colors, new formulas, & completely innovative new products. I am trying to take it a little slow on buying up a bunch of new stuff until some more reviews come out though. So it might be a few months before I'm able to tell you what I think about all of this cool stuff that's coming out.
(One of my resolutions this year is to be a little wiser on spending my money)
I did not include my new Kat Von D palette in this post because I pretty much went over everything I thought about it in my other post/video. You can check that out here.

Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul (December2011)

I have been trying to cut back my makeup spending lately so I don't have a ton of new products this month. I have found some amazing new things that have really improved my beauty routine. I also tried some new brands that I've never used before & ended up really liking.
Also, for some reason my camera was picking up some strange noise that I didn't hear until it uploaded. So sorry for that.

So comment below & let me know if you have any thoughts.

Random Purchases

I have been doing some miscellaneous shopping lately & thought that I would share what I've been getting with all of you. Most of it is just random winter clothes & some new accessories (not that I need anymore).

I didn't do a whole lot of shopping for Black Friday but, there was 1 deal that I had been waiting for & that's Bath & Body Works candle sale. Their candles are 2 for $20 every couple of months & this is the only time I will buy them.

Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul (November2011)

I'm sorry that I haven't done many tutorials this month. I have had a lot of issues that have caused problems with my schedule, I've been an emotional mess, & due to the stress my skin is a wreck. Hope that you all understand. I am defiantly trying to get everything back together & hopefully will be filming regularly again soon. I am also going to try to catch up on a few request that I just never got around to doing.
Most of the stuff that I picked up this month was either on clearance, due to a sale, or part of a holiday collection or promo.

ELF 3 Piece Liquid Eyeliner Set- Target $3
ELF 5 Piece Nail Polish Set- Target $5
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Nail Color in Save The Date & Lilac Chantilly- Walgreens $3 (clearance)
Nails Inc. The Wyndham Collection- Sephora $20
OPI Muppet's Collection Polishes in Meep-Meep-Meep, Excuse Moi!, & Designer... De Better!- Ulta $9
Wet N Wild I <3 Matte Palette- Walgreens $5
Wet N Wild Color Icon Baked Eyeshadow Palette in Baking A Cake- Walgreens $5
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Carnation- Walgreens $4 (clearance)
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Abstract Orange- Ulta $7
Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes Liner in OL Black- Sephora Free Gift (full size is $18)
Sinful Colors Extra Shiny Lipgloss in Catch Me If You Can, Wink, & Sultry Flame- Walgreens $2
ELF Never Too Much 144 Piece Eyeshadow Palette- Target $15

Milani HD Advanced Lip Color in Vivacious Fuschia- Walgreens $4 (clearance)
I have heard about these for a while & have always wanted to try them. When I was looking through the colors they seemed rather bland or really light, except for this one. This is a sheer jelly/balm type of lipstick which is not what I tend to really like, especially when I'm buying such a bright color. I can't say that after that I really even gave this a chance to tell you anything else about it.

Maybelline Dream Mouse Blush in Pink Frosting- Walgreens $4 (clearance)
This is another item I have been hearing about & decided to try because it was on clearance. Talk about shimmer! There was so much glitter in this that a slight ray of direct light & your cheeks will look like a disco, & not in a good way. The formula was nice though & I wish Maybelline would stop putting glitter in their damn blushes, we are not 12!

Urban Decay The Revolution High-Performance Lash Curler- Sephora $20
This was one of the first things to go on my shopping list when I got my Sephora 20% off mailer. I was so excited to try this & guess that I should have read a few reviews first. I have tried quite a few open ended lash curlers but, they are always straight up & down & plastic. This thing is a death trap waiting to happen. I pinched myself, pulled on my lashes, & could only manage to get a strange crimp in them. Now, I'm not an idiot, I know how to curl my lashes. So I figured that there must be some trick to using this thing. NOPE, all you are going to accomplish is injuring yourself & having weird crimped lashes. I'll stick with my $1 ELF one.

Wet N Wild ColorIcon Ice Baby Glitter Nail Polish in Back Alley Deals- Walgreens $3
I saw these & was instantly drawn in, without even really thinking. Something dawned on me once I got it home though, I already have this; twice! Once I was over the initial love of super glitter polish I realized that these are a total rip off. You can get each of these colors in a full sized polish, & most of them for $2 from Sinful Colors. The others are available from Sally Hansen, Ice, OPI, & various other brands that have better quality & more quantity. Don't be pulled in by the glittery overload like I was.

As I mentioned in the video I am planning on moving my Love It or Ditch It's to my blog starting January. I figure that this will make it easier for you to just see the reviews on the stuff that you're interested in & not have to sit through a 20 minute video. You can subscribe to the blog for updates or I will be posting them on my facebook as well.

Very First A Day In Pictures

This is something new that I am thinking about trying out with my blog, so let me know what you think of it..
I have been looking to take my blog further then just post to accompany videos that I do on my youtube channel for a while now. I asked on facebook what you would like to see & Megan had suggested "a day in the life" style blogs. I still wasn't really sure where I would take that until I saw Xiaxue's Blog. She does great picture post with short captions & I thought it was the perfect way to do these. I didn't take as many pictures as I had wanted, because I forgot my camera at home & my phone one is all wonkey), but I think that I did ok for my first post like this!

Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul (October2011)

This month there were a ton of great sales, so I was able to try out some things that I've been wanting for a while. Also, there were quite a few neat limited edition collections coming out this month.

Products Mentioned:
Urban Decay Naked Palette- Ulta $48 [this palette really did exceed my expectations. despite seeing it in a ton of videos I was amazed at how beautiful the colors are. they are not your typical neutral browns & this becomes even more apparent the more you use the palette!]
Revlon Diamond Lust Eyeshadows in Plum Galaxy, Starry Pink, Neptune Star, & Night Sky- Rite Aid $5
Revlon Perle Eyeshadow in Sunlit Sparkle- Ulta $3 (40%off)
Revlon Satin Eyeshadow in Polished Bronze- Ulta $3 (40%off)
Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eyeshadow- Ulta $4 (40%off)
Rimmel London Eyeshadow in Spicy Bronze & Backstage- Ulta $4

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Eye Enhancing Gel Cream Liner in Glam Green Eyes- Ulta $7 (40%off)
Revlon Nail Enamels in Facets of Fuchsia & Starry Pink- Rite Aid $5
Essence Holographic Eyeshadow in Lil@c- Ulta $3
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Bendable Blush in Tickle Me Pink- Ulta $5
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup- Walgreens $9 (40% off) [I also picked up the 3in1 eye concealer & ended up taking it back the next day. It was ridiculously expensive ($7), even though it was on sale 40% off, & didn't work hardly at all. I put on 3 layers before I gave up & put my ELF concealer on over it. Now, I do have incredibly dark under eye circles but, this just went on so sheer I doubt it would even cover normal discoloration.]
Physicians Formula Mineral Correcting Powder- Ulta $9 (40%off)
Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder- Ulta $3 (40%off)
Maybelline Shine Free Pressed Powder- Ulta $3 (40%off)
Maybelline Great Lash Clear- Ulta $3 (40%off)
Maybelline Lipstick in Madison Mauve- Ulta $5 (40%off)
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Creme Primrose & Pearl Gentlemen Prefer Pink- Ulta $5 (40%off)
Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in Strawberry, Hot Pink, & Peony- Ulta $3 (40%off + $2off coupon)
Ulta Lipstick in 219 (super dark red) & 214 (dark pearl berry)- Ulta 2 for $6 (sale)

Holiday Collections start coming out this coming month & I'm super excited to see what everyone's coming out with. To know what I'm getting before my monthly review, check out my Twitter!

Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul (August2011)

I got a fairly wide range of products this month & was happy with most of them. I also tried out quite a bit of Maybelline stuff this month due to the buy 2 get 1 free sale at Ulta. Most of it was ok but nothing spectacular. However, I did notice that the prices on Maybelline have drastically gone up & the products just weren't worth the price. The lipsticks are pretty comparable to the CoverGirl ones that I love & have a great color range that is completely different then the CoverGirl ones. They recently release a jewle toned lip collection that has some amazing colors (I stumbled across it at Ulta by mistake, so I'm not sure where you can get them or if they're limited edition)
My Sleek purchase is not included in this because I wanted to do a separate review & have yet to use a few of the products enough.

Products:
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Speedy Sunburst & Grape Going- Ulta $5
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Model Behavior- Target $5 (on clearance)
Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Red- Walgreens $9
Wet N Wild Dream Weavers Trios- Rite Aid $3 each
ELF Beauty School Eyeshadow Night Look- Target $4
ELF Smokey Eyeshadow Palette/Party Palette- Target $3
Essence Gel Eyeliner in Berlin Rocks- Ulta $4
Jessie's Girl Eye Dust in Baby Blue(?)- Rite Aid $4
Essence Stay With Me Lasting Lipgloss in Trendsetter- Ulta $3
Hard Candy Stroke Of Gorgeous Felt Tip Eyeliner in Storm- Walmart $5
HIP Crystal Shadow Duo in Charming- Walgreens $6 (on sale)
High Definition Deluxe Eye Duo Set- Walmart $9
Maybelline Eyestudio Color Explosion in Amethyst Ablaze- Ulta $11
Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color in Lasting Lilac- Ulta $10
Maybelline Eyestudio Master Drama Cream Pencil in Vibrant Violet- Ulta $8
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara in Black Drama- Ulta $7
Maybelline Colorsensational Lipcolor in Fifth Ave Fuchsia & Fuchsia Fever- Ulta $8

A few products that I didn't mention in the video (because I left them in my bathroom).
The Suave Dry Shampoo Spray is AMAZING!!! I have tried several brands from all over the place & don't like any of them as much as I like this cheap little $3 one. It has a wonderful fresh citrus sent, doesn't leave some weird film texture on my hair, & doesn't leave a white residue. There can be a minimal white residue if you over-spray but, it brushes out really easily. Would definitively suggest this over all others! I got mine at Target but, I know they sell it at most drug stores.
The other thing is my new straightener. After a few months of trying to deny that my crappy $20 was dying I finally took the plunge to buy a little bit better one. I am not one of those people that feel it is at all necessarily to spend $200 on a straightener but, I did want something a little nicer then what I had. After looking at tons of them, I finally decided on the Ion Ionic-Ceramic 1" Styling Iron in the awesome silver & black zebra print. There was another one that I liked just a little better but, the print was so awful I just couldn't get it (I would have gone crazy looking at baby pink & lime green tiger print every day!). I really like the flexible plates on this & it seems to just glide through my hair. I also like that the plates don't go all the way to the edge so you can get it right up to your scalp without burning yourself. Plus the rounded off design comes in real handy to curl under the ends of my hair. The only thing that I don't like about this is the temperature controll dial. My old one had buttons & a little display on top. This one has some turning wheel on the inside (between the two tongs). I always find myself nudging it & turning it up really high on accident.
I got mine $10 off at Sallys for $50.

If you have any suggestions for products let me know!
I read each & every comment that you leave & reply every one.
Hope you girls found this helpful.

Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul (July2011)

ELF had a great sale that gave me the chance to try a bunch of things that I've wanted for a long time now & can't get locally. Unfortunately every product I got really let me down & most I really hated.  I did get to try out some other new products that really surprised me with how great they were though.
Please don't forget to vote for your favorite look on my upcoming series of Comic Book Babe makeup looks. I am really excited to start doing these soon.

Products:
(all ELF was 60% off)
ELF Lip Stain in First Date- www.eyeslipsface.com $3
ELF Minty Lipgloss in New York City- www.eyeslipsface.com $3
ELF Matte Lip Color in Coral- www.eyeslipsface.com $3
ELF Mineral Face Primer- www.eyeslipsface.com $6
ELF Eye Primer & Liner Sealer- www.eyeslipsface.com $3 (I did try this again using the tiniest amount & blending it out with a concealer brush. The creasing wasn't nearly as bad but, was still there. It also made my shadow really hard to blend)
ELF Conditioning Lip Balm in Peaceful Pink- www.eyeslipsface.com $3
ELF Pressed Powder in Porcelain- www.eyeslipsface.com $3
Kleancolor Plum & Shine Gloss in Sweet Heart & Sandstone- Asian Boutique $1 (on sale, $4 reg)
Ulta Single Eyeshadows in Twilight, Luna, Mosaic, Turquoise, Sapphire- Ulta $2 (on sale, $7 reg)
Loreal HIP Pigment in Fiery- Walgreens $4 (on clearance)
NYC In A New York Minute Nail Polish in Lincoln Square Lavender, Wall Street, Sidewalk, Midtown- Walmart $ 2
High Definition Ultimate Face Set brushes- Walmart $12
Jessie's Girl Baked Powder Eyeshadow Collection- Rite Aid $7
Wet & Wild Color Icon Palettes in Petal Pusher & Blue Had Me At Hello- Walgreens $ 5
Hard Candy Powder Keg in Kryptonite- Walmart $2 (on clearance)

One other thing that I gave a try this month was Splat hair dye. I was in a pinch & every Ulta Was sold out of my color in Punky. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the dye took to my grown out roots (something Punky doesn't do) & that it was pretty vibrant. It did bleed like crazy though. Also, when I bleached out my hair to redye it, the dye only lifted to a baby pink & defiantly toned my Purple Punky to more of a pink based fuschia. I think that it is a bit over priced at $11 & would highly suggest not using the bleach that comes with it (did that once a long time ago & it destroyed my hair) but, it worked great in a pinch when I had to refresh my hair.

Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Nail Review/Haul (April2011)

I seem to have gone nail crazy this month! I'm not sure if it's just because everywhere had nail polish on sale. Maybe because the weather is warming up & I know I wont be wearing boots & gloves everyday? I do seem to be getting quite into my nails lately though. I don't know but, here are my thoughts on some of the new products I have tried & a bunch of new colors from one of my favorites!

Sinful Colors: Walgreens, on sale for .99cents
Rise & Shine- matte-ish emerald green with tiny shimmer
Beautiful Girl- creamy lacquer baby pink
Purple Diamond- supper shimmer light purple/pink, comes out very light
Why Not- definitely my favorite out of the bunch, beautiful creamy vibrant lacquer style medium blue
Love Nails- sheer blue green opalescent
Snow Me White-basic white
Let's Meet- opalescent slightly sheer golden yellow
Midnight Blue- deep slightly shimmery dark blue
I Love You- fine purple/bronzy-ish glitter with sheer dark purple base

Sally Hansen HD: available everywhere $6
DVD 15- beautiful mutli-toned (blue, teal, purple, & pink)!!! Love over black nail polish
Byte 09- basic shimmery hot pink, nothing special

Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover:  Walgreens $6
I would not suggest this at all! It got my cuticles off ok but, left me with an indentation in my nails where I had used it. Bad bad bad!

Nail Tek Foundation 2: Ulta  $11
I had originally gotten the Intensive Therapy, which I do feel like helped my nails regain after false tips, but it made my polish peel off almost instantly. I will do an updated review on this once I have used it with other nail polishes & top coats.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat- Sallys $6 (I think it was $1 off)
doesn't leave my nails super gloss like I am used to, does dry fairly quickly though.

Finger Paints: Sally's $5 buy2get1
Get Real-ism!- grey toned almost pastel purple

China Glaze: Sally's $5 buy2get1
(I have noticed that these dry almost instantly & it's sometimes hard to get a nice even application for me but, once again I am a nail novice & seem to have more trouble then most)
Shocking Pink (neon)- creamy but vibrant pale bright pink
Ruby Pumps- perfect deeper red with a lot of red glitter, doesn't go on sheer which is great!
Reggae To Riches- deep pink with very slight purple dual chrome effect
Purple Panic (neon)- matte fuchsia-ish pinky purple, very bold
Flying Dragon (neon)- matte pink based purple with fine blue & pink glitter, glitter just looks like bumpy texture without a topcoat

I will do an updated review on the Nail Tek, Seche Vite, & China Glaze in a few weeks. One of the reasons I am confused is that when I did my Easter nails the Finger Paints lasted fine while the China Glaze didn't. Then when I got my nails done at the salon with China Glaze they lasted just fine & I had no problems. I will be mixing all of these with products I know hold up & see how they do. Then I will let you know what I think about them more.

Love It Or Ditch It- Collective Review/Haul (March 2011)

Just some quick reviews on my collective purchases & free gifts from March!
I have found so many great products this month that I am really excited about!

You can really get some great deals & special gifts if you join discount programs & watch your sales for certain stores. I almost exclusively shop sale items & have really found some great items this way. When you are getting something for 1/2 price it makes it much more wallet friendly to try something new. Also watch for free gifts (always remember to ask for free gifts because sales people rarely remember to give them to you) Sometimes it may not be the exact thing that you want but, it can give you an opportunity to try something out & see if you're interested in purchasing it. Box sets are another way of trying many different products & seeing what you think about them. If you only end up liking one or two things from it, you can return the box set & just buy those things.

ELF Studio Sale Review/Haul

A few weeks ago ELF had a 50% off sale on their entire Studio line. I had been looking around for their flat top powder brush for quite some time (didn't want to pay the $7 shipping), so I figured I would order some stuff (& make sure that I saved at least the shipping price with the sale). Some of it was stuff I had seen some reviews on & was interested in trying. Some of it was just stuff that seemed like a good deal or I thought would be good to try. I always try to do fairly large orders with them due to the outrageous shipping prices. (can you tell that I really hate their shipping fees?)
Unfortunately they were sold out of quite a few of the things that I wanted to try, so I guess I will have to wait for the next good sale for those :(

I really don't like this at all & feel like it was a complete waste of money (even at $1.50). The primer is like a thin concealer mixed with cheap lip balm. It really makes it difficult to put lipliner on (as it just smears) & completely dulls out the color. It actually seemed to make my lipstick wipe off even easier then normal too. You may have to blot it off quite a bit to get it to work but, I just think that is a waste (especially when you don't with other primers). The plumper is just a cinnamon lip balm & didn't really do anything that I noticed (except make my lips burn like I've never felt before!). My boyfriend did like the smell more then my other lip products though, so I guess that's at least one positive.

I don't think that I liked anything about this. It was really dark (even though I bought the lightest shade) & seemed an unnatural color (I don't really know how to describe it). It was so creamy that it smeared every where.  The pencil was so thick that there would be no way to get any definition to your brows. The highlighter is just your basic pink toned cream eyeshadow stick. Too creamy & you can't really blend it.

This was already on sale for $10, plus the 50% off, so it ended up being only $5. That is really the only reason I got it. I don't normally buy palettes that have a lot of browns or light shades in them, because I never wear them & it just ends up being a waste of money. I figured that for $5 I could give it a shot & I wouldn't really be out anything. I am so glad I did. I love most of the colors in this. I only found one color that doesn't really apply well (one of the more matte pinks). It has a great gray gradation & some beautiful highlight colors & quite a few vivid brights too! The only thing it's missing is a really vibrant purple :( The texture is really smooth & isn't too soft or too hard like some of the beauty books I have tried.

I really like this little palette. It has 4 light highlighters that add just a hint of color. I have been using it in my inner corners, just to add a bit of shimmer & slight hint of color. If you lightly blend it over a darker shadow, it adds a slight duel chrome effect to it. So when the light hits it, you have a faint shimmer of color. I would not suggest it for under your brow though, it might be a little too much. The little brush that comes with it is the perfect size for doing my inner corners too, so I don't have to dirty an extra brush.

Pigment Eyeshadow in Passionate Purple & Naughty Noire
These are pretty good pigments. Good color payoff & lasting. I did find them to be a bit finer then other pigments so, make sure to use a good base to help them adhere. I wouldn't suggest using the brush they come with though, it's just too small.

This is a good dome brush. It's less dense & stiff then my other domed brushes so, it's good for slight blending or putting color in my crease.

This is the perfect angle brush. It is thin, soft & dense. Not too stiff or flexible, just perfect. I have used it for my brows, smoking out my bottom lash line, & winging out gel & powder liner. I think that I need to order 5 more just because I have found so many great uses for it & am contently washing it out.

I will be ordering a few more of this brush too, just because it is so versatile. It works wonderfully for applying & buffing in powder (even full coverage powder), by it's self or over foundation. It gives a beautiful finish when used to put on foundation (I have tried it with mouse, liquid, cream, & powder) & buffs out the edges better then any of my other brushes. You can use it to stipple on foundation for a fuller coverage or you can lightly buff for a medium to light coverage. I really have fallen in love with this brush. Plus, the larger size cut my foundation routine time in half!

I didn't like this brush. It doesn't really seem to blend out foundation & gives it a strange, uneven finish. I tried it for contouring & it worked ok but, I think there are better brushes out there for it. All in all, I just wasn't impressed.

I was hoping that maybe this could replace my old one that I can't find anymore. It's not as dense but, is just as soft. I think that it's a good general kabuki for buffing powder out but, maybe not dense enough for putting on loose powder & buffing it into the skin. Not bad though.

I'm still getting the hang of this brush. I've never used a brush that is shaped like this. It works ok for getting a good rounded point on my brow bone. I have also tried it for contouring my nose & found it easier to use then a blending brush. I wish it was a bit smaller but, so far I like it & am excited to see what I will be able to  use this for.

This brush doesn't really work for foundation either. It is not dense or stiff enough to blend out the heavy cream or liquid formulas that I use. However, it is great for brighter blush. It is small enough that you can really concentrate the color on the apples of your cheeks but, blends out the edges beautifully.

I did get some non-studio eyeliners because I had heard such amazing reviews on them.

Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black, Plum, & Midnight
These really are as good as all the reviews say they are (for a change).  They go on completely smooth, last all day, & don't smudge at all. These have replaced my LA Girls Fine Line as my new favorite pen liner. The only thing that I think I should mention is the colors. The plum is just your basic dark purple, midnight is kind of a dark black with a very slight dark blue undertone (you can see that it's blue if it's layered with blue eyeshadow), & the black is more of a dark grey. The plum & midnight are FAR darker then the black. So if you were looking for a great black pen liner, I would suggest getting the midnight.

I hope this helped you girls.
